A LADY IN DISGUISE is an action-packed Regency Romance set in 1816 Warwickshire and London, England. Lady Briana Rosewynn is eager to meet the new Duke of Brocco for whom she decorated a bedchamber, but he is a war-wounded recluse and will not see her. However, his handsome friend, Sir Reginald, and a silver-tongued servant, Darnier, take an interest in her naïveté when they hear how she longs to know more of the world, especially the men's world. To alleviate her country boredom, Darnier cheekily offers her an unheard-of adventure: a fun peek at London night life-in disguise. No one realizes that Lady Briana, admired by society, is seeing the private lives of men who profess to love her. While enjoying the excitement of her bold charade with Darnier, she lands into trouble way over her head. Sir Reginald and other noblemen woo her, but Darnier is the only man who knows her dilemma. He works valiantly to save her, but Briana must show her own courage as she faces life-or-death danger. In her disguise, the virtuous Lady Briana discovers that many men are not as they appear in polite society.
