Raymond Kurzweil (Queens, Nueva York, 12 de febrero de 1948) es un inventor, empresario, escritor y científico estadounidense especializado en ciencias de la computación e inteligencia artificial. Desde 2012, se desempeña como director de ingeniería en Google, liderando un equipo dedicado al desarrollo de inteligencia artificial y comprensión del lenguaje natural.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran "La singularidad está cerca" (2005) y "Cómo crear una mente" (2012), ambas bestsellers del New York Times. Además, es autor de "Danielle: Crónicas de una superheroína", galardonada con múltiples premios en la categoría de ficción para jóvenes adultos. A lo largo de su carrera, Kurzweil ha sido reconocido con la Medalla Nacional de Tecnología y ha sido incluido en el Salón de la Fama de los Inventores Nacionales.
