Johnson screws everything up by the endof the night and sets the next year's events on a collision course with madness and tragedy by giving Jordancrystal meth for the first time. Over the next year, Jordan goes almost stark-raving mad as Johnson looks onin his own drug-fueled, helpless, confusion. Just not "getting it." Eventually, Jordan ends up getting jumpedand beaten savagely. In ever more painful, lucid introspection, Johnson finally "gets it" and realizes howstupid he's been all along. Oddballs? Misfits? Yep.
