In Boomtown Reflections - Volume 4, New Beginnings, Mark A. Gregg delivers another inciteful view into the Gregg family's foray into the boom town of Wheatland, Wyoming. Wheatland, Wyoming was a town of less than 2,000 people when Basin Electric Power Cooperative chose it for the construction of the mighty Laramie River Power Station. It was a massive 1650 megawatt, coal fired power plant that was fueled from the colossal Powder River Basin coal fields of northern Wyoming. Construction peaked at approximately 10,000 personnel, partially overwhelming the sleepy little burg of Wheatland with classic boom town syndrome.
