Reseña del libro "A Welling (en Inglés)"

A Welling is a collection of original poems by Carol Ann Wilburn. Carol Ann Wilburn's poems have appeared in anthologies including Women in a Golden State: California Poets at 60 and Beyond, and in Live Encounters Poetry & Writing and The Bryant Literary Review.A Welling is her first collectionIn poems that range from childhood memories of lightning bugs "like captured stars" to the death of a dear uncle heralding the arrival at elderhood, "in sepia vignettes of our shared history," Carol Ann Wilburn's A Welling is brimful with finely drawn images that linger as tender revelations. We delight in the fragrance of a garden shed on a hot afternoon or a sudden snow that frames "the laughing Buddha's face, its garden smile a perfect blur, clutched in a crystalline frieze." The poems bring time and place into focus by depicting "what's real and momentary." With this chapbook, Wilburn shares her world, a "creation of just-plain-rightness" with seasoned poetic talent.-Cedar Koons, author of Bourbon and Branch Water and Spirit Letters, The Shakers of Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, Poems
