This volume is designed to be a training companion for police officers and is written in an easy-to-follow scenario-based format. The book explores unarmed defences against strikes and holds, defences against clubs, knives and even firearms. 

Uniquely the book explores medical knowledge too such as first aid, poisons and general medical know-how essentially for an officer on the beat. 

Jorgensen's work is beautifully photographed showcasing unformed and plain clothed officers dealing with attacks standing, on the floor, and in a variety of typical scenarios for officers in the line of duty.
