Reseña del libro "Angels of Sodom (en Inglés)"

Two angels came to Sodom in the evening. This is their story.

Sodom faces annihilation.

Halliel, angel of flowers, and Apidalon, angel of bees, are sent to warn the city's last righteous man.
Taking the forms of a traveling husband and wife, the two angels discover that, in a city of countless pleasures, the desires of blood and flesh aren't easily ignored. They also learn that they aren't the only angels present in Sodom. The town is protected by the monstrous Nephilim, the unholy sons of a harem of fallen angels and the necromancer king Kedor Laomar.

Taken prisoner, the two angels face temptations and torments designed to corrupt them. Dawn will find them sullied, soiled, and stained. Will their divine radiance be extinguished? Or can the two angels find a way for their heavenly light to blaze even brighter than before?

Angels of Sodom contains strong language and graphic depictions of content some may find disturbing. It is intended for adult readers only.

Opening lines:

Dust. The two angels built their bodies from dust. They descended in the early evening, their radiance casting stark shadows across the barren wastes. They sculpted their new forms in a small desert canyon, far from prying eyes. This was kindness. Mortals who gazed upon the pure light of their heavenly forms would be struck blind. The Archon had commanded them to disguise themselves, to hide inside the flesh of a man and a woman, so that they could safely wander to and fro upon the earth.

Between the steep hillsides, they boiled dust, and tore apart the air, and shattered rocks to release steam. Twin whirlwinds of flame formed as new substances were fused from the fractured water, earth, and air. Bones hardened, creating a frame for the entrails, gonads, and muscles. Blood surged through tangled arteries as their new and tender hearts began to beat.

Teaser sample:

Apidalon asked, "How can you permit him to debase you so?"

"Debase?" said Beziel. "Yes. I suppose I am debased. Soiled, sullied, stained... and I love it."

"You've been corrupted!"

"More than corrupted. Desecrated. I, who was once sacred, have become profane. Until I came to Sodom, my whole existence was spiritual. I was eternal, and I was everywhere."

"And now you've lost that."

"I've lost nothing worth having. For a spirit, one eon is much the same as another. The heavens whirl and the planet spins. Concepts like yesterday and tomorrow have no meaning. Now, I am flesh, and time is measured in heartbeats. When Kedor Laomar so roughly used my mouth, he literally stole my breath. In those seconds of suffocation, my life was precarious, and precious. Each second mattered more to me than the passage of ten thousand years in Heaven. You'll find out."

"I'll never submit," Apidalon growled.

"Every angel says that, and every angel surrenders."
