This book helps the reader find new insights into the Revelation, whose messages often lie hidden by an outer layer of visual imagery. By providing a guide to the symbols used in John's visions, new ways of looking at the Revelation are opened up which lead to a deeper understanding of this complex Biblical book. The allocation of meanings to symbols is based on examination of symbols used elsewhere in the Bible to find useful precedents. This approach shows how the Revelation uses a consistent set of visual images as a symbolic picture language to convey vital messages relevant across all the centuries to the present.
