Arctium tells the story of Iran Wade, 13, who is forced to go back to his snowy village, Grizzly Sole, after his dad loses his job in New York. The place was as boring as you could ever imagine, that until in his last day of school, he finds a man injured in the middle of the road. Iran can also witness that this man has an enormous pair of wings that cover his entire back. The boy decides to bring this creature home but will it be easy to keep this secret for himself, surrounded by gossipy neighbors and a meddling madwoman?

Meanwhile, a couple of hitmen, very peculiar, are hired by the government to find this winged man and bring him back to them.
