The process of writing this book was a brainchild of a conversation that ensued between friends who were thinking about the development of artificial intelligence and how it has evolved over the years. The goal of this book( Part 1) is to provide programmers and computer scientists with a readable introduction to the problems and techniques of artificial intelligence (A.I.). The book can be used either as a text for a course on A.I. or as a self-study guide for computer professionals who want to learn what A.I. is all about. Artificial intelligence has truly changed the way in which life occurs presently, and it's truly insightful to note that AI has been in existence even before the terminology 'AI' had been coined. With the knowledge obtained on artificial intelligence; I am looking forward to giving future generation a peek on what artificial intelligence is and its contributions to our society over the years.
