(Brooklyn, Nueva York 1906 – 1991) fue un médico y artista-anatomista estadounidense universalmente conocido. La carrera de Netter como ilustrador médico comenzó en la década de 1930, cuando la Compañía Farmacéutica CIBA le encargó la preparación de ilustraciones de los principales órganos y su patología. Sus representaciones increíblemente detalladas y realistas fueron tan bien recibidas por la comunidad médica que CIBA las publicó en un libro. Esta primera publicación exitosa en 1948 fue seguida por la serie de volúmenes que ahora llevan el nombre de Netter - The Netter Collection of Medical Illustrations.
