Matthew J Keefe was born and raised in Rhode Island. He was a wild and imaginative child and would always find an output for his imagination in the forms of drawing and creating. At age 15, he was inspired by the novel 'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac, given to him by his father. He instantly felt a connection to the book and decided from then that his goal was to be a published author. He first got a taste of what it is like to be published in high school, when several of his poems were published in the high school newspaper, and he started performing his poems live in 2015. Keefe's poetry makes the reader feel as though they are walking through a dream, exploring everything from gloomy nightmares in 'Nightmares of Temptation' to more uplifting pieces about self-awareness like 'Dreams of Redemption'. His writing is surreal, imaginative and captivating, promising to take the reader on an unforgettable journey through their own personal dreamland.
