Fujita es una mangaka japonesa nacida en la prefectura de Hyōgo. Tras graduarse en la Osaka General Design College of Manga, se trasladó a Tokio en 2012 para presentar sus obras a editoriales. Su carrera despegó con Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii (2014), conocida internacionalmente como Wotakoi: El amor es difícil para un otaku. Inicialmente publicada en Pixiv, la serie fue serializada por Ichijinsha y recopilada en 11 volúmenes hasta 2021.

Wotakoi se convirtió en un éxito internacional, adaptado a anime por A-1 Pictures en 2018 y licenciado en español por ECC Ediciones. En 2017, ganó el Premio Kōdansha al mejor manga web. En 2023, Fujita lanzó Villain, un manga basado en la canción homónima de Vocaloid, explorando temas de identidad y disforia de género. Su estilo combina comedia romántica y slice of life, con un enfoque fresco y empático hacia la cultura otaku.
