Baltimore is a hard-boiled cyberpunk science fiction novel set in Baltimore, MD in the year 2317. The city is largely controlled by various corporations, and while technology has progressed the quality of life of the average person has declined. Crime is at an all-time high, drug use has skyrocketed, and much of the population is impoverished. While searching in West Baltimore for the leader of a local gang called The Fools, bounty officer J.J. discovers that this small street gang is much better equipped than they should be. The presence of these powerful weapons in the hands of a common street gang means that the lives of all of Baltimore's citizens are in jeopardy. While J.J. has some powerful allies, their help might not be enough to get to the bottom of what ails Baltimore. Accompanied by the beautiful Jenny, and armed with his trusty sidearm Benevolence, J.J. engages in a deadly game of chess that takes him to all corners of Baltimore. But who are the other players, who's pulling the strings, and what's the endgame?
