For those interested to know more, this book depicts, through the medium of fiction, or parabolic stories, something of the characteristics, values and behaviours of the sect into which three of the Gordon Girls were led, as described in the novel: "Resilience tried and tested"The novel, of course, is fiction (but based on real people and real events) and so is this sect, but it too, is based, albeit loosely, upon what does exist under the umbrella title of the Plymouth Brethren. This book is intended to depict how this organisation affected the lives of three of the Gordon girls and explain some of the beliefs and practices, more or less the raison d'être, of the BCNW, "Brethren of Christ's New World". It is not intended to be critical or negative, simply interesting and explanatory. Obviously, not for everyone; it is intended for readers with a genuine interest in Christian religions.
