The Neanderthals are hunting again, their prey, the gentle Bigfoot. Brutally butchering whole families at a time, only two Bigfoot youngsters are spared to become beast of burden to carry and pull heavy loads. The youngest Harra, is trained to do domestic chores, and to forage for editable plants and herbs used for food and healing. While foraging, she ate a strange root, that enhanced her mental communication skills. Leaving the cave people, she joined other Bigfoot who had escaped. The Neanderthals out to recapture them, gave chase across the tundra. The Bigfoot crossed the ice bridge over the sea to a new land. In their hidden valley home, she drew a prophecy on a cave wall about the future where a human child will guide them to safety. This is the beginning, the linage of her decedents of leaders and healers in the many generations to come. The Sullivan family is moving to Alaska from Boston, Massachusetts. Susan Sullivan, MD is opening a clinic, with her husband James, a research biologist and pharmacist. The move didn't go smoothly. The plane left without her, with her three children aboard, Will a seventeen year old, Heather a fourteen year old, and a mischievous four year old Daniel. The sea plane crashed leaving the siblings to fend for themselves. Wolves attack, and they escape into the Alaskan wilderness alone. Their paths cross with two giant Bigfoot, Grund and his female, Rahla, going in the same direction. Together the five travelers fight a grizzly bear, an angry Bigfoot, Wawroh, out to kill humans, and to outsmart a hunter, Artemus Blackheart, who wants to kill or capture a Bigfoot. The children are reunited with their family, after a six day search. Can these two families become friends? The hunter, Blackheart, captures a Bigfoot youngster, and the children set out to rescue her. What will happen in the future for the Bigfoot, more conflict or peace? What of the prophecy? Is there still hope...
