It is written from the perspective of a person who has not made a living on the water but is just there because he enjoys being on the water. From rivers to oceans and from the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterways (ICWW) to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterways (GIWW) it has been all just part of one man's life long boating memoirs. This edition is the smaller one with fewer photographs and is in black and white, otherwise this is the same edition as the one in color but less expensive! There are passages about the Intracoastal waterways and a chapter about pets on board, the delights and the problems they bring. It is meant to entertain anyone who loves the water and all the things that go with boating. All of the stories really happened, which makes the book even more interesting.
