Lucia Porter and Harry Cavanagh are an unlikely couple. She has suffered from a sheltered and controlled upbringing, he is the heir to a fortune and a title. The retreat is led by the mysterious Dr Crowley, whose unconventional methods focus on the ancient, mystical attributes of the island.
Lucia falls under his spell and is taken to realms far beyond her understanding, as strange forces draw her into a changed life.
