Herein are the memories of that service.Sometimes serious, other times hilarious, the tales and memories of the Troopers of this venerated unit provide history, entertainment, and leadership insights.The book's chief editor and contributor in particular, Carroll Childers (MG USA Ret.) started his command career with this unit as a freshly commissioned 2nd LT from Class 6, VAARNG OCS in August 1964. He went on to command the 29th Infantry Division. His treatises on leadership should be required reading for anyone in a leadership position or contemplating such. He is also the author of "Driving On," his memoir of being the oldest officer to graduate Ranger School and his time in Vietnam.
