Moses prayed, and God delivered Israel out of Egypt. David prayed and God delivered him from his enemies. John Calvin prayed and the Reformed Church was founded in the city of Geneva was changed for good. Martin Luther prayed and all of Europe was transformed. John Knox prayed and Scotland came to its knees. Hudson Taylor prayed and scores of missionaries went to China and opened up the gospel message in China. William Carey prayed and God sent him to India, and he translated the Bible into more than 30 different languages and dialects. And now God is waiting upon you and your church to pray and I wonder how history will be written as you now begin picking up the torch and start praying. Historically, nations are changed when people prayed. The church is called to be a house of prayer.
