In the early months of 2020 a global pandemic stopped our clamorous, overbearing species in its tracks. The volume of human life was turned down, allowing other creatures to get a word in for once. During this extraordinary time a clever young crow is witness to a crime, and resolves to bring the perpetrator to justice. A dangerous and arduous task, requiring painstaking investigative work and a new level of communication between bird and man.

Inspired by real-life research into the cognitive power of corvids, this is a story of how we share our urban space with at least one other brainy, resourceful species. It's not all about us.
