Reseña del libro "Conchies (en Inglés)"

The 1980’s. A frustrated unsuccessful novelist searching for a subject stumbles upon the Greenham Common peace protesters. Amongst those women he singles out eighty four year old Dorothy Bates, instinctively knowing she would have a fascinating story to tell.During the First World War thousands of absolutist conscientious objectors were persecuted and punished for their beliefs. Dorothy’s brother, Harold and his friend Peter Wilson, the man Dorothy falls in love with, were two such objectors. This is Dorothy’s engrossing story: a story of conviction, struggle, suffering and great moral courage.A powerful, dramatic, moving and unforgettable narrative.
