Reseña del libro "Consider the Dirt (en Inglés)"

The winner of the 2026 William D. Barney Memorial Chapbook Contest sponsored by the Fort Worth Poetry Society. Here's what others are saying about Alan Gann and his work: "The poems (in Consider the Dirt) are tender, wholesome, funny, heartbreaking, hopeful, and sometimes messy. The way this collection captures so many moments that are beautifully and painstakingly human is truly astounding." Lauren Kalstad, Judge, 2026 Barney Contest "Alan's words explode off the page. I wish many other poets were so bold." Alan Birkleback, 2005 Texas State Poet Laureate "Alan's work stays with us, our minds wandering back long after the reading."Karla k. Morton, 2010 Texas State Poet Laureate "Alan is ee cummings meets Charles Bukowski with a side dish of roasted asparagus and chocolate jimmies. The Dorothy Parker in me meets Alan at the Algonquin where we talk and drink until I am ready to fall over."Sara Hickman, 2010 Texas State Musician
