Many parents and educators are confronted with the phenomenon of ADHD. This book is a guide to developing a positive approach to children with ADHD. We are all familiar with the stories of Struwwelpeter and Hans-guck-in-die-Luft. The behaviour of such children is socially and motorically conspicuous. They have learning difficulties, but also talents. They are usually very creative. Children with ADHD need a great deal of patience and a very strictly structured daily routine. They have concentration difficulties, as well as social and motor skills issues. The practical games and exercises in this guide help to liven up lessons, reinforce learning content, and turn music lessons into a 'refuelling station' for what is otherwise a gruelling school day. The theoretical section answers questions that help foster a better understanding of the child. The games are also well suited for use in specific situations (such as nervousness) and for children without behavioural issues. Every child is special and unique, and each has different abilities, talents and strengths waiting to be discovered and nurtured.
