"Corporate Corruption & 'The' Unspoken Rules" captures the true-life story of Chioma Udemy, a Nigerian American, on her journey into the corporate American workforce. The book exposes experiences that everyone goes through and talks about, but only few are willing to take a step forward in questioning and challenging the system that operates this practice. Through her story, she exposes the racism, discrimination, retaliation, abuse of power, and intimidation she encountered at the hands of her Caucasian leaders, who believed that her kind and type shouldn't have been hired in the first place, and that hiring her was a mistake. The book further amplifies the sexual harassment, mistreatment, withholding of promotion, and bias she suffered at the hands of Elijah Youngman, her Caucasian leader, who took out his bad experience of dating Black women during his military days on her. At the end, Chioma Udemy envisions a future where American-born Americans and African-born Americans would work together, side by side, to protect our nation.
