Named domestic settings include Portsmouth NH, Hanover NH, Fort Lauderdale FL, Hilton Head Island SC, and Puerto Rico. Named foreign settings include Paris, France; France's Loire Valley; St. Moritz, Switzerland; Zug, Switzerland; and Ljubljana, Slovenia. And there's more! Each story has a lead-in mostly unrelated to the story that follows. The lead-in begins truthfully before becoming a tall tale. Sunflower, the author's wife of now sixty years, appears midway through each lead-in. Sunflower is quite the fashionista and skilled in the culinary arts as well. Uncle Willy, who has an active social life while living on his Wisconsin farm, appears toward the end of each lead-in and plants the seed from which the subsequent story grows.
