Reseña del libro "CUMMINGS VALLEY (en Inglés)"

Cummings Valley is a collection of poetry written over more than four decades. Rather than being arranged chronologically, the poems are organized thematically, exploring childhood, parenthood, death, aging, humor, and the experiences that shape a life. Written by a retired special education teacher who now has the time to devote herself fully to writing, Cummings Valley explores through poetry how childhood abuse and neglect can follow a person into adulthood— and how pain can be transformed into creativity. Drawing from a difficult childhood and experiences with mental illness and loss, Laura Robbie's work also reflects motherhood, aging, humor, survival, and the many ordinary moments that make up a life. Her poetry demonstrates that even children who get off to a rough start can grow, create, persevere, and build meaningful lives.
