In fact, scientists have voiced out that the dark matter possesses a mass six or more times greater than that of the visible stars and galaxies. In the modern era, the field of science and research considers the dark matter as a firmly established principle of cosmology. Yet, scientific analysts are still working on how the dark matter is distributed through the universe and of what the dark matter is made of! Meanwhile, some physicists have bring forward theories which demonstrate that the dark matter is made of WIMPS - weakly interacting massive particles. To put it bluntly, WIMPS is a class of particles that are their own antimatter partner particles. When matter and antimatter partners meet, they annihilate each other, so if two WIMPs collided, they would be destroyed, releasing a pair of daughter particles - an electron and its antimatter counterpart, the positron, in the process...
