Retired hockey pro Sergei Bronsikov spent the week body-checking Pine Haven's patience-flirting, bragging, and gambling like he was still in the big leagues. But when he is found face-down in the snow, the handsome ranger Jack's young cousin, Patrick, gets slapped with the blame.

And Pine Haven's lineup of suspects? Pro-skater Erik's temper could melt the rink, Benny's bookkeeping belongs in the penalty box, and Sergei's already-engaged girlfriend, Alexa, is skating circles around the truth.
