Dead Wrong (en Inglés) - Michael Stanley

Money isn't always the motive. In this high-stakes case, if Detective Kubu doesn’t get his history and his facts right, he—and the kidnapped 15-year-old boy he's trying to save—could end up dead wrong.

Days after the abduction, and still no ransom demand. What does this kidnapper want?!

When a fifteen-year-old student is lured to captivity by a man he met at a video arcade in Gaborone, Botswana in 2005, the boy's strict, politically connected father appears to obstruct and assist the police in equal measure while Detective David "Kubu" Bengu and company must delve deep into the region's tumultuous history to understand what they're up against and save the child. But with time running out, and so many lies and deceptions to sort through, if they don’t hurry, they could all end up dead wrong.

Detective David ‘Kubu’ Bengu is a wonderful creation, complex and beguiling. The exotic smells and sounds of Botswana fill the pages as well as the changes and struggles of a country brimming with modern technology yet fiercely clinging to old traditions.
