Forests are living environments where many species of animals and plants live. Forest managers still believe that forests are a national natural heritage that should be protected. Indeed, in the Mediterranean region, forests have been suffering for several years from health crises such as heatwaves and droughts, which weaken the health status of trees and make them very vulnerable to possible attacks by insects and fungi, which consequently lead to the premature death of trees and forest dieback. In fact, forest fires are a phenomenon that is well known throughout the world and are no less serious than other pests due to their harmful consequences on forest ecosystems in general and in particular during the period of rehabilitation of a burnt forest to return to a state of equilibrium that takes decades. To this end, knowledge of the origins of forest fires is very important for eradicating them on the one hand, and also for the implementation of a strategy for the defence of forests against fire.
