Woodheart, North Carolina is home to a Catholic Church like no other; it runs and operates like Vatican City with the eponymous Father Andy Callahan at the lead. Under his lead is his right-hand man, Arthur Knight. Things seem calm on the surface...until one day, they're not.

When a violent raid on a satanic cult in the neighboring town of Swanford takes place, a string of conspiratorial ties to the cult that eerily trace back to the church are unveiled, painting the people who could once be trusted as monsters playing God. Meanwhile, a swamped detective and a group of teenagers take the helm of investigating the mystery behind those ties.

But as the threads wear thin...a spiritual force from two hundred years ago returns to finish what has been started.
