Where have you lived, to what places have you traveled, and what's next on your list? These questions that we can easily answer in the natural should also be answered spiritually. But spiritual moves are more difficult. Throughout the Bible God's people struggled with their next destination for the same reason we struggle with ours; our faith and trust in God is not always where it needs to be. The body of Christ is a destined nation. And even though our ultimate destination is Heaven, there are many stops that we need to make along the way. Individually and collectively we tend to primarily concern ourselves with our Sunday destination; church. It is however, the other stops that we make (and don't make) throughout the week that cause our Sunday gatherings to either be dynamic and relevant or boring and ritualistic. Spiritual destinations are not necessarily physical destinations; yet they require us to travel. They require us to move away from complacency, stagnation and status quo. They require us to embrace by faith the newness of spiritual places that we may have never been to before. As a destined nation, as pilgrims and strangers on the earth, in order to maintain our effectiveness for the Kingdom of God we must continually journey. Our next destination awaits us!
