In book one of a contemporary fantasy adventure James is struggling to decide what to believe as he's juggling his skepticism on the existence of magic in the modern day world and the fact that he doesn't want to miss his date with his new girlfriend. Should he believe Rupert's claims that he came through an invisible door from another world? Should he believe an evil darkness also came through?
