Reseña del libro "Dragonfly (en Inglés)"

Known for his rhythmic and energetic texts for young readers, author W. Nikola-Lisa explores new terrain in this writing-his childhood experiences growing up in south Texas during the early 1960s. But don't be fooled: this is not a book for children, at least young children. In this 15-year anniversary edition, Mr. Nikola-Lisa explores the darker elements of growing up in a harsh cultural and family setting. Although the work feels like a memoir, it reads like a novel with the author's spare, unrelenting narrative a perfect accompaniment to the location, time period, and underlying familial themes.
