For Noelle-half-green witch, half-fairy-it's a no-brainer. She says yes.

But there's a catch: the time-jumping spell the lich wants is long hidden, locked in a vault no one can tell her how to find, let alone open.

With Bowie, a half-demon she can't stop thinking about, and Maxx, a snarky hellhound with far too many opinions, Noelle sets off in search of the impossible. Their first lead takes them to a popular botanical garden, where illusion magic thrives-and the resident fairies are helpful... kind of.

While there, Noelle trains to cast illusions so real they can fool the senses. Her results? Wildly inconsistent.

When the fairies put her to the test, she panics-and accidentally taps into something else entirely:
Necromancy.

Sort of.

As if that weren't enough, the vault she's been chasing? Yeah. It finds her.
And what it contains shifts her entire world off its axis.

Now, with spirits whispering in her mind and a power much greater than she imagined at her fingertips, Noelle must decide what kind of witch she wants to be - light or dark, nature or necromancer.
