Follow the red brick road of the other path-unfollowed and buried beneath history. When Ruthi, a mute and faithful servant of the church and daughter of the patriarch of Oz, eats of the fruit of the serpent, her eyes are opened to the truth of her life. She begins to see with new eyes, awakened by the serpent's knowledge.

Before a crowd, she speaks blasphemy that forces her down a path. Follow a heroine's journey from death to life as she walks a new road toward a door waiting to be opened. With a new name and the mighty flame of her sword, she sends out letters to the women of the land, calling them to follow the red brick road.
