Those fools screwed up with betting on my life and tossing me to the streets, but lucky for them, I was a forgiving gal. When I felt like it of course.

I tell you, I'm getting really sick of this. It was time for me to fight for my own place in the world. I would prove to everyone that I wasn't to be messed with, no matter what.

I have to say I was surprised at her reaction to finding herself alive and well. I expected some kind of lashing out, but she didn't react how I expected her to at all.
Now we were stuck playing her game of cat and mouse, trying to play our poker hand blind. We were doing okay, until she knocked our entire hand down for her to see. All bets are off, all the cards on the table, and our relationship on the line.
Yeah, we screwed up big time, and I wasn't sure if there was any coming back from this one. We wouldn't stop fighting for our girl though. She was our reason for living, for fighting our uphill battle. I wasn't losing that, no matter what.
