Through all the chaos-love and passion unite the the Barr Family in unexpected ways. Richard, Jr. hasn't touched his wife in over five years and their son, Eric is a drug addict. However, this small town gives each family member a new sense of worth. Eric discovers an apparition beyond anything he could imagine and his parents find a pearl of great value. The famous artist, Calvin Wolf carried a secret to his grave and now surfaces in the middle of the Barr Family plight. Gas city doesn't look like much to the average passerby, but the powder keg of a potential explosion is just a match away. The local diner owned by "Mom" is the gathering place for gossip and decisions that make the town of 1,306 run as usual. "Mom" loves each customer as her own-just don't cross her! The story ends with a mysterious stranger coming to town with a touch of magic aiding the Barr Family.
