A chance meeting, a date, a second date, a short term relationship, and a daunting, horrifying break-up. Maybe you can't love somebody too much, but you can love somebody the wrong way. People are not always who they seem to be. Jon Strachan realised that trying to save the relationship was futile at a very early stage. Jennifer Gleeson could not accept that it was over, her mental illness was invisible, until it manifested itself into a vicious campaign against Strachan, who she felt should be punished for what she perceived to be his 'betrayal' and 'abandonment' of their relationship. A campaign of stalking, harassment, slurs and sabotage would follow his decision to end the relationship, a campaign that almost destroyed him. The mental condition which dogged her life and decimated relationships with her friends and family could not be controlled, she would never accept that it existed. The nature of her psychosis compelled her to always see herself as the victim, and to lay the blame for her social failings at the door of anybody with whom she crossed paths. Worryingly, it seemed there were no limits that Gleeson would not go beyond to achieve her objectives, regardless of whose lives she destroyed along the way. A terrifying journey which sadly, is far more prevalent than society chooses to believe.
