After much anticipation, Meri gave birth to their miracle baby. Yet they didn't imagine, so much would go so wrong.

Almost dying, Meri has a profound NDE that alters how she recovers from her health issues, as well as how she recoups and reorients herself back with her family. In his grief, exhausted from caring for everyone, Jay hires a nanny to help, while Meri heals.

At first, Meri is mostly focused on trying to make sense of why she is there, and regaining her strength, she barely notices the small changes occurring with her family. Oddly she begins to regress, becoming weaker, more sluggish and confused. Even as she gets sucked into the muck of jealousy and betrayal, she still wants to believe in those Pearls and Gems that make her life shine
