The short-story, is one of the most important literary subgenres in Urdu literature, despite its relative youth. This was influenced by western and literary concepts and tendencies, as well as the contemporary industrial and mechanized environment. A Dalit is one on whom the law of untouchability has been imposed, who has been forced to do difficult and dirty work, who has been prohibited from getting an education and freely trading and earning a living. In this regard, Ahmad Sagheer Siddiqui has written several important stories in this regard. He is basically a protest story writer. Protest attitudes are scattered in his stories and they also include a reformist element so that the plight of society can be mentioned well.
