Every man is doomed when we sin and can't get to heaven; because God is holy and righteous and he can't abide sin in any form. So Jesus, God's son had to come and live with us, but we rejected him outright. He was crucified on a cross as a sacrifice for God, for us to go to heaven. This was the only way. The Bible speaks about man in his sinful past but God wants us to repent and change our attitude to what he wants and desires.
