Soren Vale is a Custodian of the Continuity Office, trained to correct deviation before it becomes memory, language, or witness. His work is clean, procedural, and almost merciful in its lack of spectacle. Citizens are reviewed. Materials are classified. Families are separated by category. The city continues.

Then a routine domestic seizure exposes a hidden cache of handwritten pages.

When a child, a mother, and a fragment of forbidden language disturb the machinery Soren has served for years, he begins to understand the true violence of Veyr: not that it destroys people, but that it teaches them to surrender themselves before destruction is necessary.

As language becomes evidence, care becomes contamination, and childhood itself becomes a site of review, Soren is forced into a quieter form of resistance - not rebellion, not redemption, but obstruction from within the system's own immaculate logic.
