The first part of the book consists of a game called the "Phonics Game". It is a game that the author used for at least 20 years to help many students learn to decode words. After using this game students will be able to decode almost any word which they come upon. Another part of the book gives an organized method of working with students when learning sight words. With this method the students can progress learning sight words at their own pace but also have the incentative to do so. There is also some cool ideas for organizing books and some fun things to do after students have read a story.
