Medical researchers have recently warned the diabetic victims that untreated diabetes and lack of care from the part of diabetic patients can cause hearing loss and even deafness. More importantly, medical reports have shown that the younger diabetics tend to be at higher risk than older adults. In addition to this, women in particular are likely to suffer from hearing loss if they are diabetic and their condition is not well controlled with medication. Meanwhile, current meta-analysis suggests that the higher prevalence of hearing impairment in diabetic patients compared with non-diabetic patients was consistent regardless of age. However, various medical reports have shown that it not the first time researchers have found a link between diabetes and hearing loss! Scientific researchers from the United States National Institutes of Health saw similar patterns in a sample of more than 11,000 people, with people with diabetes twice as likely to have hearing loss as those without in the year 2008...
