The residents of Fairhaven, Maine are finally feeling safe again and no one is thinking about murder, but when news that a skeleton, recently dead, has been found intermingled with the bones of an ancient Penobscot burial ground, the rumors of another death start circulating. Someone has once again invited Evil to their peaceful town and their uneasy thoughts are filled with fear. Bones, dead bones and not just ancient bones, combined with not one, but possibly two, romantic relationships for Noah, guarantee a fast-paced story of murder, romance and love. (Women just can't resist a man in a uniform.) Noah and his officers furiously conduct a search for suspects only to realize the murderer may, just possibly, have a connection to the former church. How and why this could happen is part of the mystery. Noah has several suspects but not one of them is a perfect fit for the murderer. Then, another person is murdered and this time the circumstances are even stranger. With the help of older residents familiar with the former church, and new residents willing to help rid their new town of evil, the Police finally narrow the identity of the murderer down to two or three people. Time goes on and the police seem to be stuck, until one of the suspects makes a move which blows the mystery wide open.
