Meet the St. George family--New Englanders Anthony, war hero and salesman extraordinaire, the insightful Allison who, after one introduction, is on Jackie Kennedy's Christmas card list, and their young son, Elliot, who is perhaps a little too bright for his own good. The family is on the move, like many Americans, to the South--South Florida to be exact. The author is a life-long Florida resident and a graduate of Florida State University. He is an art lover, painter and wine expert. He remembers his childhood in the 50s and 60s in Fort Lauderdale as a panoply of beach outings and bicycle expeditions to the best fishing spots. And later, cars and cruisin' and bikinis. "It couldn't have been that wonderful, could it!"
