Abby Luby's debut chap book Humming Beneath the Mist, is a collection of poems celebrating memory, fantasy and culinary joys. Luby's work offers a remarkable undercurrent of tonality slipping both noticeably and imperceptibly into the reader's subconscious; 'the saxophone steam rises,' 'radiating from your core a lush vibrato,' or 'how the blues soothe the back of the eyelids.'
