After author Rex John published his first book of "humorous essays," he wasn't prepared for the reaction he received. One person wrote, "I cannot read this book when I am out in public; there is lots of staring and head shaking because I just start laughing, tears stream down my face and I get silly." According to Rex, comments like that just "primed the pump," the end result of which is another collection of amusing anecdotes.
